Eye-catching shades of red coloration beautifully accentuates the highly-textured body of the Bullseye Rhodactis Mushroom Coral. Once established, the Red Bullseye Rhodactis Mushroom Coral can grow up to four inches in diameter to create a beautiful living carpet sure to add much-needed pizzazz to any reef aquarium landscape.
The Red Bullseye Rhodactis Mushroom Coral shares similar care requirements as other mushroom corals and prefers a mature reef aquarium system with low light levels and low to medium water movement. The Red Bullseye Rhodactis Mushroom Coral is fairly forgiving when it comes to water quality and tolerates slight fluctuations and less-than-ideal water parameters. However, it is important to always strive to maintain high overall aquarium water quality. The Red Bullseye Rhodactis Mushroom Coral is semi-aggressive and requires adequate space between itself and other corals. It reproduces through longitudinal fission, but also can be easily propagated (fragged) by experienced reef hobbyists.
The Red Bullseye Rhodactis Mushroom Coral satisfies the majority of its nutritional requirements by means of photosynthetic, symbiotic zooxanthellae algae hosted within its body. However, it will benefit from supplemental feedings in the form of micro-plankton, brine shrimp, and other foods designed for filter feeding invertebrates, making sure you fed to each polyp of the colony. For continued good health, your Red Bullseye Rhodactis Mushroom Coral will also benefit from the addition of calcium, magnesium, strontium, and other trace elements to the water.
The Red Bullseye Rhodactis Mushroom Coral ships as several individual mushroom corals attached to one rock.
