Overview
The Two Spot Hawkfish is cream in color with many rust colored blotches covering the entire body. There are two black spots, one on the gill plate and the other toward the tail of the fish which lends the name to this fish. The eyes of this fish have a bright red coloration which adds to the mystique of this fish.
A 30-gallon or larger aquarium with plenty of hiding places is acceptable for this hardy and aggressive fish. It should not be kept with larger more aggressive hawkfish. Although it eats small fish and shrimp, with caution, it can make an excellent reef inhabitant.
The Two Spot Hawkfish's diet should include a variety of marine meats, frozen preparations, and live feeder shrimp.
