Can't say much because I never see him. I bought two - one must have died and been consumed because I never saw it or found it. It matches my gravel exactly. They hide ALL the time. They are completely non-social and boring. If he eats anything off the bottom of the tank I haven't noticed but I supposed I'd have to come out at night. Only time I see him is during a water change when I take all the "toys" out. He LOVES a cave. My other Pleco's were more social until he came along - now they all hide in a pack in the cave. They are happy like that as far as I can tell but none of your friends will ever see them. VERY PEACEFUL guy. NOW if he is clinging to the side of the tank what you will see is a completely different fish - kind of resembles a cover-girl from the 1950's - very curvy and sexy - Nearly transparent - I don't see ovaries (the one that died had ovaries that could be seen) - so I assume this is a male - THEN they are amazing creatures to look at.

This little pleco has been an awesome addition to my tank. He is peaceful and always out either eating off the side of the tank or off the driftwood. He is very healthy and overall just a very cool fish.
