Directions
Keep Chemi-Pure Green sealed in container until ready for use. Remove bag from container and rinse gently under clean running water until clear. Then place nylon bag in any outside power filter, canister filter, or external sump. For best results, water should flow gently through the filter bag and media.

Chemi-Pure Green should be changed every 2-4 months depending on bioload and clarity. If more than one Chemi-Pure Green filter bag is used, change one at a time every week until all bags have been replaced. For tanks with high levels of driftwood and/or tannin coloration, a large water change or replacing Chemi-Pure Green more frequently at first may be necessary to reduce coloration of the water.

History
Boyd Enterprises, makers of Chemi-Pure, Chemi-Pure Elite, Vita Chem and Chemi-Clean, has a long history of serving your needs as aquarium keepers. In fact, they have been serving hobbyists for more than 50 years.

Chemi-Pure, the original Boyd product was developed by Dick Boyd in 1960. Dick had been working in fish stores and building aquariums since 1947, at the age of 17. Through his own experimentation with aquarium filtration, he developed the original, world-renowned Chemi-Pure. The results are the same today as they were then, crystal clear, ionically-balanced water that creates the perfect environment for fresh and saltwater aquariums.

The Proof
In 1972 Dick Boyd moved his family to a new home, which would include a 3,000- gallon reef aquarium. It took two years to build, but by 1974 it was ready to become home to various fish, corals and invertebrates. Within five years many of the inhabitants had begun spawning and reproducing in the aquarium.

The only filtration medium? Chemi-Pure.

Dick’s aquarium continued to thrive for 18 years with only minimal water changes, until his passing in 1992.
