This coral 3 pack allows both novice and advanced reef aquarists the ability to create a spectacular reef aquarium landscape full of interesting textures and color in convenient packaging at an attractive price. The Premium Maricultured Toadstool Coral 3 Pack includes three beautiful Sarcophyton Toadstool Corals and is a fantastic option for filling empty reef aquarium landscapes with active movement and architectural shape.

The maricultured Toadstool Corals in this pack are propagated from small cuttings of Toadstool Corals growing in their natural habitat that are mounted to a base and allowed to grow out in protected in-shore areas for several months. Once they are ready for sale, they are shipped to the United States where we condition and get them acclimated to artificial lighting and synthetic seawater prior to shipping to your door.

These corals thrive under moderate to high lighting conditions achieved by T-5 fluorescent, powerful LEDs, or the more intense metal halide light fixtures. While not as demanding as Small Polyp Stony (SPS) corals, it is still imperative to maintain high water quality ensuring proper pH, alkalinity, and calcium levels, while keeping phosphate and nitrate levels as close to zero as possible. Along with proper lighting and water quality, the Premium Maricultured Toadstool Corals will benefit from medium, intermittent water flow within the aquarium. This can be easily achieved with the addition of powerheads, wavemakers, or water circulation pumps.

The corals included in this pack are hardy, fast-growing corals that have a peaceful temperament, but some Sarcophyton Toadstool Corals can produce toxins which are harmful to other reef inhabitants. Be sure to provide adequate space between them and other corals in the reef aquarium as they tend to expand once they settle into their new home.

The photosynthetic symbiotic zooxanthellae algae hosted within their bodies help to satisfy the majority of their nutritional requirements. However, they will benefit from supplemental weekly feedings of micro-plankton and other foods designed for filter-feeding invertebrates. This is especially true when they are when housed in reef aquariums that do not contain fish. For continued good health, they will require the addition of iodine, strontium, and other trace elements to the water.

They are mounted to a natural "rock-like" plug that can be placed easily and securely in or between rockwork in the reef aquarium.
