I have a 2 1/2" SAE who minds his own business and does not bother any of the other fish. He likes to eat algae and thats almost all he does!

I was sooo careful putting my aquarium together but still ended up with 30 gallons of black everything. I tried everything and finally bought 4 of these SAE. My tank is soo clear and clean. It's just great.

I have one SAE in a 30 gallon tank and he cleaned that one up in about a month and the tank has been algae free ever since. I just got two more now for my 55 gallon tank a couple weeks ago and can't wait for that tank to clear up. They are so fun to watch darting around the tank and they are very eager eaters of both the algae and the fish food I give for the other fish. They are active and not one bit shy. They will come right up to the glass to look back at me when I am watching. They also get along well with all the other fish. These guys are one of my favorites!

Bought 3 of these from LiveAquaria.com. All arrived safe and sound and showed no signs of jet lag! No sooner were they in my aquarium when they started eating the green algae! These are the BEST algae eating fish I have ever seen. My plants were full of green string algae and now they're all completely clean and look beautiful. I'll never have another aquarium without at least a couple of these in the tank! AWESOME fish:-)

These fish, while hard to find, are excellent aquarium additions. They eat algae amazingly well, are pretty hardy, and are just generally cute. Wonderful fish, and great for the community tank.

I have two of these guys in a 30 gallon with a blue knight lobster and 3 African Butterfly fish. They are more like siamese twins always together and highly energetic. My wife calls them the spaz twins. Friendly and great to watch.

Got four Siamese Algae Eaters to help out with some unwanted algae growth on my aquarium plants. They arrived alive in excellent package. After QT time, placed them in my main tank and they just did what they were meant to do. They're the best algae clean up crew ever!

I have 10 of these guys in my 110 gallon and they grew so fast from the 1/2inch I got them they are about 2 inches now and still eating algae off my live plants all day in a school. Be ready to get some food for them too if you get that many because they eat alot.
